Evolutionary World Service Meditation

Using Evolutionary World Service Meditation during the lunation cycle empowers us to intentionally cooperate with the intentions and macrocosmic rhythms of our Planetary Logos, Gaia Sophia.

Each part of the lunation cycle conveys evolutionary opportunities. The new moon period affords receptivity to new inspirations and ideas; the first quarter is a time for planning and gathering resources and knowledge in support of impressions received at the time of the new moon.  The full moon opens the spiritual and astronomic door for invoking the power to manifest the ideas we have chosen to sponsor.  The third quarter supports further integration, review, and assessment.

One of the most common misconceptions about working with the lunation cycle is the mistaken idea that our meditative attention is on the moon.  While the cycles of reception, planning, invocation and review are set out for us by the timing of the moon's phases (new moon, first quarter moon, etc), our attention is on the sun and on the constellation behind the sun.

The sun is the source of light and life for our planet and it is where Gaia Sophia's attention is focused.  In contrast, the moon is a decaying celestial body, it does not radiate light, nor does it have a life sustaining fiery core or a life-cohering magnetic field.  It is, quite literally, disintegrating.

When we align our meditation work with the energy of the sun, as we work with the lunation cycle, we are aligning with the meditative focus of our Planetary Life - The One Life of Gaia Sophia.  This puts us consciously in the directing, evolutionary flow.  It also allows us to attune to the evolutionary wisdom of the ecliptic constellation which the sun is passing in front of.  (The ecliptic is the elliptical path the sun follows through the sky from the perspective of earth.  It includes 13 constellations).

It is interesting to note that astronomically during the full moon, the moon is behind the Earth in relation to the Sun, and because of that we can see the full face of the moon reflecting sunlight back at us all night.  Thus, the sun's rays are upon us day and night and the entire globe is illumined with evolutionary energy.

If you'd like to join our Starry Wisdom Meditations or just learn more and try out an Evolutionary World Service Meditation, please join us in person at the Center for Soulful Living (268 CR 3027 in Eureka Springs) or on-line via our Conscious Evolution Conversation http://groups.yahoo.com/group/7Principles28ritesintro/.  This is a really enjoyable way to spend time together and we look forward to spending it with you.
